The 10th anniversary of the Very Large Telescope's First Light, ESO
has came and gone with the releasing two stunning images of different kinds of nebulae, located towards the Carina constellation. The first one, Eta Carinae, has the shape of a 'little man' and surrounds a star doomed to explode within the next 100 000 years. The second image features a much larger nebula, whose internal turmoil is created by a cluster of young, massive stars.

This issue of The Cosmic Cauldron Newsletter
has been a nightmare to put together. Personal issues, deadlines
by contributors not being met, certain individuals attempting to
interfere with the production of the Newsletter by defamatory
and inflammatory remarks being circulated and political upheaval within not
only the Australian Pagan Community but in certain Pagan
communities in the USA have had this poor editor reaching for
the bottle.
To quote the great words of
Tom Waits: "I would rather have a bottle in
front of me than a frontal lobotomy"
Also, recently, I was approached with
an offer to purchase The Cosmic Cauldron Newsletter for a
tidy $10,000 (US dollars). The reason I was given for the
offer price being so low was because I did not have a
domain name. Almost over night thecosmiccauldron dot com
came into existence.
Needless to say I rejected the offer, not because the
offer was to low but as I wrote to the interested party:
"The Cosmic Cauldron
Newsletter is not for sale. I wish to keep it independent
and to be
the one left flying the plane."
Margaret Veiner (of Emeryville CA) is the owner of
thecosmiccauldron dot com. The Cosmic Cauldron Newsletter
and The Cosmic Cauldron Yahoo group are not associated
with or connected to this dot com or any business which
will be generated from this site in any shape or form.
As such I was forced to act quickly and purchase domain
names and although, it was my intention of doing so
anyway, I wish it that the above information to be noted
to prevent any future confusion.
From July 2008 the Newsletter will have its own domain
name as thanks largely to my advertising sponsors and the
attempted usurpers, I have acquired the purchase of http://thecosmiccauldron.net.au
So bookmark this link.
The Newsletter has been in existence since only February
of this year but circulation has jumped from a meagre 600
plus to 2400 plus in the last couple of months with some
notable on-line individuals contributing to the contents
each month.
Fortunately for this month I have had some wonderful contributions and support
to enable this issue to glow majestically. Amethyst, Barley
Singer, Dragonfly,
Leshanki, David Weldon, have helped by
contributing articles or participating in one way or
another.
